EFP8 is an 8-port FE EoPDH processing board. The EFP board connects to the packet through the GE bridging port. We will discuss its applications in the following.

Function:
1- Receives/transmits 8xFE signals and 1xGE packet signals and performs EoPDH processing.
2- FE electrical port: 10/100BASET(X) = 8.
3- Supports LAG & Spanning Tree Intra-board protocol and IGMP Snooping and RMON & Port Mirroring function.
4- Supports the following Loopback types: l Inloopsat PHY layer Ethernet ports except ports 9 and 10 (bridging ports) l Inloopsat MAC layer Ethernet ports except port 10 (bridging port) l Inloopson VC-12 routes.
